Lavenham Remebers Poppy Trail
Back in 2018 saw the centenary commemorations of the end of WWI. Lavenham, alongside villages all over Britain, were honoured to remember its fallen young men.
As a salute to the 76 Lavenham soldiers who gave their lives in WWI, a trail map was created by local artist Lienne Birch, commissioned by the Community Council.
The map identifies the homes where those who served departed from. During the WWI centenary commemorations 2018, displayed in and around those homes, were the details of the soldier who fell. Villagers and visitors alike followed the trail in respect of the Lavenham fallen soldiers.
A limited edition print run of 76 copies of the map has been produced, numbered and signed by the artist and provide a lasting tribute.
The maps are available to buy from Posy, Lavenham High Street.
